So, on the Sylvester (Christian New Years) I was dancing with some guy when this old creeper came up and started hitting on him. He said to the guy, “Slicha, aval zeh ha’ba’al sheli.” (Excuse me, but this is my husband). The creeper turned to me and said “Is this true?” I said “Yeah, this is my husband.” He said a blessing in Hebrew. We said, “Amen Amen Amen!” as is custom among religious people. Then the ENTIRE CLUB screamed “MAZAL TOV!” and the ENTIRE club broke out in “Mazal tov v’simen tov simen tov v’mazal tov!” Yeah… A country of Jews – the greatest thing ever. A club of only gay Jews? The best. lol.
People can say whatever they want about Israel. I agree that we do bad things and need to change some of our policies. I also agree that we’re allowing the religious to get too strong. However, in my heart I’m a Zionist – b/c only in Israel can a scene like this happen.
